The course is a continuation of CHEF 114. Topics emphasizing intermolecular forces in liquids and solids, concentration units and also the colligative properties of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. Chemical kinetics and some organic chemistry and polymer are also included.

Basic concepts of Chemistry emphasizing matter and its properties: stochiometric relationships, electronic structure of atoms, periodic table and bonding in compounds, the gas equations, thermochemistry and electrochemistry.
